10. Gabrielius Glemža (XVII karta) Gabrielius graduated from Vilnius Lyceum (regular course) in 2009. Due to a rather broad area of interests he found it extremely difficult to make up his mind about which subject he wants to study. Finally he decided to study Accounting and Finance in the University of Warwick (UK). However, it did not take him long to realize it was not the optimal solution to "what.on.earth.should.I.study" problem. Consequently, Gabrielius decided to change his course and university and from the next year onwards is going to study Land Economy at Cambridge University. With the experience of applying through UCAS two years in a row Gabrielius thinks he has the experience needed to provide help in "The Big Brother" project.

11. Tomas Gražys (XVII karta) Tomas graduated from Vilnius Lyceum IB class of 2009. His road to the university began when the last summer break ended with a "Cambridge boom" amongst many of the lyceum students. Afterall, he was a somewhat able computer scientist so Tomas decided to apply for a Computer Science and Maths degree in Cambridge. Regretably, he slighty missed the offer, but nevertherless, experienced all their paper-work and examinations first hand. Finally, he ended up studying the same degree in the University of Bristol. Tomas surely knows less about addmissions than Google does, but if anyone wants to talk about pros and cons of studying in the UK or prefers human beings to search engines he's their guy.

Currently, Justas is on exchange programme in Hong Kong and he is looking forward to meeting students who are considering studying business-related courses and going to Warwick or Hong Kong.

17. Ieva Kuzminaitė (X karta) Ieva graduated from Vilnius Lyceum in 2002. While studying Law and Management in Mykolo Romerio University she accidently saw American Embassy’s advertisement in the newspaper about the selection to the military academies. After completing all the necessary forms and tests, she was accepted into United States Air Force Academy where she received Bachelor in Political Science with Minor in French and Military Rank of Second Lieutenant. Ieva played rugby and chess for the Academy and was involved in Political Affairs Club. Now Ieva is working for Lithuanian Military and has five years commitment. She could help those Lyceum students, who are interested in challenging themselves in military environment and who are not afraid of strict schedule.

18. Adomas Malaiška (XV karta) Adomas finished Lyceum in 2007 and went on to the UK to Nottingham to do Finance, Accounting and Management. He is currently a third year bachelor student and going to graduate this summer. He did not do any internships, yet he has done a part time job within University researching accounts and some economic evaluation job in Lithuania. Vytautas is keen to share his experience with motivated and interesting students who believe that his wisdom, vast knowledge and good energy may be helpful whilst pursuing their goals.

20. Monika Merkytė (XV karta) After finishing Lyceum in 2007, Monika decided to try Lithuanian philology with Italian language studies at Vilnius University, but after one year switched to History of Art at the University of Warwick, where she is currently sitting her second year. She is familiar with all the mess and ‘oh_my_god_I_don’t_know_what_to_do’ situation and is willing to help students get through it. Although she is studying History of Art, she is able to help people that are interested not only in arts and humanities, but in social studies too.

21. Bernardas Morkūnas (XV karta) Bernardas graduated Vilnius Lyceum in 2007. He is reading 3rd year Biological Natural Sciences (Chemistry MSc) course at Cambridge University, Homerton College. Bernardas would like to work with Vilnius Lyceum students applying to Cambridge University and other UK universities.

He is currently studying at the University of Bristol in England and spent the academic year of 2008-09 in the University of California, Davis campus. He is studying Computer Science and appreciates all applied sciences (e.g. engineering) rather than social sciences. For the time after he graduates in 2010, Mantas is planning to continue his career in Lithuania, preferably in a start-up enterprise specializing in some scientifically advanced field. He worked as a web developer in two businesses, however, for the last few years he has been enjoying freedom from full-time jobs or internships. He likes football, computers, bikes, travelling and other conventional hobbies.

23. Aurimas Račas (XIV karta) Aurimas graduated from Vilnius Lyceum in 2006 and (after considering whether to study in Lithuania or abroad, whether the studies should be Informatics or Economics) went to study Economics and Business at the Stockholm School of Economics in Riga (SSE Riga). When graduating in summer of 2009, he already had experience in working for companies such as Omnitel and McKinsey & Company (management consulting industry) and being involved in loads of extracurricular activities (starting from acting as IT support and ending with winning entrepreneurship contests). Currently Aurimas is working in Ernst & Young Baltics (Business Advisory division) and silently thinking about Master Studies. While Aurimas has absolutely zero knowledge about UCAS bureaucratic processes, he is more than willing to help people in developing their personal statements and understanding their strengths. Additionally, he hopes he can provide some guidance for those lost in between Economics and other sciences or those not knowing whether one should choose Finance, Economics, Business or [insert other econ. related studies here]. Finally, if there are ones thinking about studies in Hong Kong (at least for an exchange semester, as Aurimas did), he has some things to recommend, too.

Tomas is seeking to work with business oriented individuals who are passionate about creating an exciting future for themselves and those around them.

25. Kotryna Temčinaitė (XV karta) Kotryna graduated from Vilnius Lyceum in 2007 and after completing a year in Molecular Biology program at Vilnius University eventually finds herself studying the same subject at the University of St Andrews, Scotland. At the moment she is enjoying her second year in the cosmopolitan environment of St Andrews. Kotryna started gaining her lab experience in Vilnius by interning with the Institute of Biotechnology and now is spending some time in the University research lab. 26. Linas Trumpickas (XVII karta) Linas graduated from Vilnius Lyceum IB class of 2009. He had been quite seriously thinking about studying Physics, but eventually, after getting a chance to see what real physicists do, found his interest to lie in Engineering, a more practical and real-life discipline. At the moment Linas is studying General Engineering at the University of Warwick. Linas would like to help and advise Vilnius Lyceum students, who are genuinely interested in studying Engineering in the UK or have difficulties choosing between Physics and Engineering.

27. Tomas Tvarijonas (XVI karta) After dreaming of studying architecture for almost 10 years Tomas headed for this direction when he graduated from Vilnius Lyceum in 2008. Firstly enrolling to VGTU Architecture international course for the first year and afterwards sailing to the University of Nottingham to continue his studies. During previous academic year Tomas had a taste of both USA and UK application processes: visiting universities, attending their interviews, taking entrance examinations in both countries, going in for SAT, TOEFL, Cambridge University admission systems as well as becoming quite handy with portfolio handling tricks and habitudes. He is willing to share this experience primarily with those who have already meditated upon their aims and preferably have not dedicated their lives to numbers, currency or excel spreadsheets.

28. Milda Vaičiūnaitė (XVI karta) After having loads of fun being a part of XVI generation at Vilnius Lyceum doing IB, Milda decided to go to Royal Holloway University of London. She is a 2nd year Media Arts student now and her studies basically focus on film theory and practise. Milda loves cinema and even numerous essays she has to write on it does not put her down. She has various hands-on work concerning professional film equipment and editing programs. In summer 2009 she did an internship at LNK news department which was a very interesting experience. Also, Milda is a 2nd year student representative and a member of drama society. In order to earn some additional money, she was working as a waitress for Michael & Wisher catering company but currently works as a tech crew member at Students Union and absolutely loves it. Milda is keen on helping someone to get where she/he wants but will not tolerate lazy monkeys. As she is also experienced in getting part-time jobs and in looking for internships, she is willing to help on that matter as well. Her knowledge would probably be more useful for students who want to study art-related subjects, especially media, but she would be more than happy to share her experience with anyone.

29. Laurynas Vaičiūnas (XV karta) Laurynas Vaičiūnas graduated form Vilnius Lyceum in 2007. He is currently readying Politics with international relations at the University of Bath. Laurynas could truly help a student who is eager to learn and does not limit himself to obtaining a diploma. He is best suited for a person who wishes to study history, philosophy, sociology or even politics. Laurynas himself is a feudal lord who is yet to rule land and serfs. A catholic. His personal interest is the world suffocating in the claws of bureaucracy when by defending one right others are furtively undermined. Laurynas does not like to relax, nor does he like people. However, do not dare to put his courtesy at doubt!

30. Marijus Vitkauskas (XIV karta) Marijus is a graduate of Vilnius Lyceum International Baccalaureate class of 2006. He is now studying Psychology, third year, in the University of Warwick, UK. For any further details about extracurricular activities, or studies, or why it is worth visiting St Andrews, please contact personally.

32. Agnė Zubytė (XVI karta) Agne graduated Vilnius Lyceum in 2008 with an IB diploma. She now lives in the outskirts of London and is a second year student in Media Arts (film theory and practice) in Royal Holloway University. The decision to study film was quite a spontaneous one, but she has not regretted it one bit! It is basically a course where they analyze films (like you did in school with novels, how cool is that? ;P) and also shoot their own films with some kick ass equipment! Last year Agne worked unofficially as a cleaner in a nearby office on a daily basis to earn some cash, however this year she got a job in the technical department of the Students’ Union and is responsible for the lights during all kinds of parties, shows and events. She is the students’ representative of the 2nd year Media Arts course and also a member of the photography society. Agne first moved to England without having any accommodation, no job, no experience and now realizes how much easier it would be to move and adapt to a new (scary?) country with a little bit of help. She has settled quite well and does not have to live off of noodles like some think when they imagine student-life. She is happy to give advice to anyone who needs it and hopefully make their lives a little bit easier. ;)

33. Vaidotas Žala (XIV karta) Vaidas graduated from Vilnius Lyceum IB class in 2006. He will finish his 4-year economics & accounting related bachelor degree from Aston University in 2010. Feel free to tap into his modest experience with any questions that bother your mind!
